Boat Rental FAQ

 

  • Our rental day is from 9am to 5pm.

  • There are three ways to reserve a rental boat:
    1. Fill out our online inquiry form and we will respond with availability
    2. Email us at rental@uppersaranacmarina.com with the dates and type of boat you would like to reserve.
    3. Call us at (518) 891-0480 with the dates and type of boat you would like to reserve.

  • Pontoon boat operators must be 27 years old and possess a valid Driver’s License.

    All Other Boats: Operators must be 26 and follow NYS boater regulations (see Licensing & NY Boater Cards on our rental policies page).

  • If there is damage to the propeller or any other part of the boat when it is returned, you will either be charged for it or you will not be refunded your security deposit.

  • You will not be charged for the rental if you cancel anytime before 7 days of the rental date. However, if you cancel within 7 days of the rental, you will be charged the full rental fee.

  • If a pontoon boat is not returned by 5pm, $200 will be charged additionally per hour. If any other motorized boat is not returned by 5pm, $100 will be charged additionally per hour.

  • Yes, if it is available.

  • Yes, but they are not allowed on the seats of the pontoon boats.

  • Yes, we have specific pontoon boats designed for camping. You can camp with the other smaller fishing boats as well.

  • We send you out with a full tank of gas and when you return you will be charged for how much gas you’ve used.

  • No, it is only possible to carry a canoe between the two lakes.
